Supreme Being was established in 1999 by a group of four talented and passionate friends in Cambridge. This forward thinking group of mates had a variety of skills between them which combined perfectly to make this fashion label work – their team consisted of an artist, a designer, an entrepreneur and a screen printer. Their desire to create the Supreme Being clothing brand was all about a passion for design, street wear and art and their desire to forge careers in doing something that they loved. The guys wanted to inspire people visually and they started off designing funky prints for t-shirts and hoodies which was known as their ‘homerange’ and this formed the basis of their brand - it was here that the name Supreme Being was born.
This close knit fashion label were keen to be at the forefront of every aspect of their design and production process so they took care of their own print production and used their own unique printing techniques. This enables the company to be experimental with colours and new designs and also means that many of their designs can be printed to order. The close proximity to their production process also ensures that every single item that comes from Supreme Being has a quality finish.
Supreme Being take the inspiration for their clothing from family, friends, art, song lyrics, music and modern street life in general. This fashion label grew steadily in response to the demand for their clothing and as they took on new talents in the company to handle the demand, these new influences opened up further creativity and fresh concepts evolved. The Supreme Being team are constantly working on new designs using textures, fabrics, colours and prints that are inspired by art, music, people – all the things they love. These days the Supreme Being range has expanded considerably from their humble beginnings in tees and hoodies and now includes a whole host of different apparel and footwear including tracksuit tops, jackets, knitwear, coats, polos, shorts, trousers and a range of funky accessories too.
